Lavender Shortbread Cookies

These Lavender Shortbread Cookies are delicate and fragrant, with a hint of lavender flavor.

Ingredients:

  • 1 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, cold and diced
  • 1 tablespoon dried culinary lavender buds
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

Instructions:

Preheat the oven to 325F 160C and line a baking sheet with parchment paper

In a food processor, combine the flour, sugar, butter, lavender buds, and salt

Pulse the mixture until it resembles coarse crumbs and starts coming together

Turn the mixture out onto a lightly floured surface and knead briefly to form a smooth dough

Roll out the dough to about 1/4-inch 6mm thickness and use cookie cutters to cut out your desired shapes

Place the cut-out cookies on the prepared baking sheet and refrigerate for about 15 minutes

Bake the cookies in the preheated oven for 15-18 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden

Let the cookies cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely

Once the cookies are completely cool, theyre ready to enjoy
