Thai Black Pepper and Garlic Tofu

Crispy tofu cubes are combined with the strong flavors of garlic and black pepper in this Thai-inspired dish. Its flavorful, quick, and ideal for a mildly spicy yet savory meal.

Ingredients:

  • 400g firm tofu, pressed and cut into cubes
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon oyster sauce or vegan alternative
  • 1 tablespoon black peppercorns, crushed
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 2 green onions, thinly sliced for garnish

Instructions:

In a bowl, combine soy sauce, oyster sauce, crushed black peppercorns, and minced garlic

Add tofu cubes to the mixture, ensuring they are well coated

Let marinate for at least 15 minutes

Heat vegetable oil in a pan over medium heat

Coat marinated tofu cubes with cornstarch, shaking off excess

Place tofu cubes in the pan and cook until golden brown and crispy on all sides, about 8-10 minutes

Garnish with sliced green onions before serving
